 SBU eliminated international heroin supply chain. 146 kg of drugs seized. PHOTOS

The Security Service of Ukraine and the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine have exposed and eliminated heroin supply pipeline operating through the territory of Ukraine.

Advisor to the SBU Chairman Markiian Lubkivskyi wrote on his page on Facebook Tuesday, Censor.NET reports.

"It was found during search operations that a load of industrial salt came on board a ship in the Odessa Commercial Sea Port. According to the way bill, there were 896 bags of industrial salt in each container with overall weight of 66,815 kg. 15 packs of powdery gray substance with a total weight of 146.8 kg (gross weight!) were found. They were hidden from customs officers during customs control of the selected cargo that was in one of the containers. The experts established that the seized powdery substance is heroin," Lubkivskyi wrote.

"Foreign citizens, whose involvement in the mentioned supply pipeline is investigated, were identified and detained," he added.

According to Lubkivskyi, the cargo headed from Iran to Netherlands through Georgia and Ukraine.
