 National Anti-Corruption Bureau head to be chosen by president between two candidates

The Commission on election of the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau has chosen two candidates - Artem Sytnyk and Mykola Siryi.

Petro Poroshenko will choose between the two candidates, Censor.NET reports.

Member of the Nominating Commission and Censor.NET Chief Editor Yurii Butusov commented on the decision:

"The competition was held completely transparent: everyone could watch it live. There was a clash of opinions, but there was no pressure that would prevent to make impartial decision. We have not discovered panacea for all woes but have selected the candidates who meet requirements envisaged by the law."

It should be reminded that the Commission included Giovanni Kessler, Yevhen Nyshchuk, Viktor Musiiaka, Refat Chubarov, Yevhen Zakharov, Yaroslav Hrytsak, Yosyph Zisels, Oleksandra Yanovska, and Yurii Butusov.

The Commission worked for three months. 176 applications were submitted for its consideration first. 21 candidates were selected to the second round.
