A farewell ceremony for Donetsk airport defender Ihor Branovitskiy, killed by terrorist Motorola, took place in the St. Michael's Cathedral in Kyiv yesterday at 11 a.m.

Ukrainian journalist Anastasia Bereza wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"Ihor Branovytskyi. Defender of the Donetsk airport. Soldier of the 90th special battalion of the 95th airmobile brigade. He was captured by the militants in the airport terminal on Jan. 20. He was tortured and shot publicly on the next day. According to several witnesses, he was executed by terrorist Motorola, a citizen of the Russian Federation. Ihor's body was found only a few days ago and will finally betray peace," the journalist writes.

According to Bereza, Ihor was a proud-hearted and persistent soldier. He did not want to communicate with Lifenews journalists and get humiliated in front of the militants. He did not collapse or give up. Therefore, he died. He is survived by his mother," she added.
