 One of four candidates to run National Anti-Corruption Bureau has not passed special check - Ukrainian security agencies made unfavorable finding on him - Butusov

At least three candidates will participate in the final stage of the competition.

Censor.NET Chief Editor Yurii Butusov wrote on Facebook.

"Conscientious officials from the presidential administration called me and said that the delay in conduction of the special check occurred not due to their actions but through the candidates' income declarations containing mistakes. But this information became available only last night - a week after the date when the checks, envisaged by law, should have been performed. So there is a good reason to write about exceeding of the term. Well, we shall announce it at the meeting.

"One candidate out of four failed to pass special check - Ukrainian security agencies made an unfavorable finding on him. I have not yet seen the documents and reasons for rejection. Thus, at least three candidates will participate in the final stage of the contest. We will clarify the situation with the fourth one. The meeting of the commission is scheduled for April 7," Butusov wrote.
