 Russian Federation imposed ban on Ukrainian household chemicals including air fresheners and bug killers

The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) has imposed a ban on imports of certain household chemicals produced in Ukraine.

Rospotrebnadzor announced, Censor.NET reports citing Novoie Vremia.

Among other products, the prohibition extends to the brands produced by SC Johnson such as Mr. Muscle, Tualetnyi Utenok, Kiwi shoe polishes, Glade air fresheners and Raid bug killers.

Rospotrebnadzor previously announced that it recommends retailers to withdraw from circulation salt of the Ukrainian and Belarusian production, which occupies more than a half of the market.

Russia kept running trade war with Kiev in 2014, having restricted the supply of a number of Ukrainian goods. Rospotrebnadzor had banned the import of vegetables and fruits, as well as a imposed ban on the supply of cheese, soybeans, corn grits, juice, canned fruits, vegetables and fish, milk and dairy products, drinks and sweets.
