"About fifteen hundred injured soldiers received medical treatment as of yesterday," Verba said.
Verba also noted that the number of casualties decreased significantly over the past three weeks. According to him, the largest number of wounded was in July-August 2014, in December 2014 and February 2015.
Besides, Verba said that 108 Ukrainian military are on rehabilitation abroad. Also, 88 soldiers have already undergone cure, and 38 are currently taking treatment in such countries as Germany, Israel, the United States, the Baltic States, and Bulgaria.
The total number of Ukrainian soldiers who were killed in the ATO area was 1,549 people as of March 9.
According to the UN, 6,072 people were killed and 15,345 more were injured totally during the war in the Donbas.
