 National Bank to abolish 1.5% military tax

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has prepared a bill to repeal the military duty in the amount of 1.5%.

This was announced by Director of the NBU Legal Department Viktor Novikov, Censor.NET reports citing Novoye Vremya.

According to the press service of the regulator, Novikov stated that legislative changes cancelling a military duty of 1.5%, which have been in force on income from transfer of property rights operations on currency values since March 13, have been prepared.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance proposed to introduce a war tax on the income of individuals on July 25, 2014.

On July 31, the Verkhovna Rada agreed with the proposal of the Cabinet to introduce a temporary national collection on payroll (military tax) in the amount of 1.5%.
