Former head of Kherson Regional Council was placed under house arrest – PGO

The court granted motion to the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region and placed the former head of the Kherson Regional Council under house arrest and ordered him to wear an electronic tracking device.

Censor.NET reports citing Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine website.

"The court granted the petition of the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region investigator and imposed pre-trial restraint in the form of house arrest on the suspect - the former Kherson Regional Council chairman and obliged him to wear an electronic bracelet. At the same time Odesa appeals court with participation of the representative of the prosecutor's office of the Kherson region vetted and approved the application of the Kherson Regional Council for review of the newly discovered evidence concerning the court's decision, which invalidated the ruling of the Kherson Regional Council on its chairman resignation. The mentioned ruling of the regional council was canceled by the court's decision," the statement reads.
