 Petition on arrest of Bochkovskyi and Stoietskyi withdrawn for amendment. It will be brought to the court tomorrow - Interior Minister

The Prosecutor General's Office has withdrawn the request for the arrest of the former State Emergency Service authorities to amend it with new articles and episodes of the case.

Interior Minister Arsen Avakov announced on Facebook, Censor.NET informs.

"We have held a working meeting with the Prosecutor General. Neither Bochkovskyi nor Stoietskyi have chance to be released due to removal of the charges by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Interior Ministry Main Investigative Department. The proofs of their corrupt practices are convincing," the Interior Ministry Head stressed.

Avakov said that the Prosecutor General's Office has withdrawn the request for their arrest to amend it with new articles and episodes of corrupt practices, extortion, etc., during today's meeting in the Pechersk district court. The extended motion will be immediately taken to the court in the morning."

"The detained officials suspected of corruption remain in custody under the previous sanction of the investigator in line with the Article 208 of the Criminal Code. The thief shall stay in jail! What do you think?" he wrote.

In turn, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov also assured that corrupt officials of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine will not be able to escape punishment.

"Do not worry, the Interior Ministry will not release corruptionist Bochkovskyi and Stoietskyi until the court decides on them. The work on corrupt officials will go on until they all will be prosecuted!" National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov wrote on his page on Facebook.
