 EC to allocate extra EUR 250 mln of micro-financial aid to Ukraine in April

The European Commission promisses to issue extra EUR 250 million of micro-financial aid to Ukraine in April.

The European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) report on the country reads, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"The country (Ukraine) received EUR 1.36 billion in macro-financial assistance loans in 2014, and should receive an additional EUR 250 million in April 2015, should the IMF program remain on track and policy conditions be met," the ENP report reads.

The "Implementation of the European Neighborhood Policy in 2014" report assesses the implementation of the ENP in the EU's partner countries and provides a set of country specific and regional reports. The report on Ukraine underlines the key developments and reforms made in 2014 and makes recommendations for 2015.

All measures taken in respect of assistance to Ukraine can be equated to 11 billion euro from the EU budget and international financial institutions, under the management of the EU.

Prime Minister Yatseniuk announced earlier that he expected increase and acceleration of the EU macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
