 Intensity of attacks in Donbas is decreasing - ATO press center

Attacks in the area of the anti-terrorist operation continue, but their intensity is gradually declining.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the ATO press center.

The summary reads: "Today, March 17, the Russian-terrorist groups fired at the position of the Ukrainian troops and peaceful towns in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions 20 times.

"The actions of the illegal armed groups have long been focused at the Donetsk direction. The village of Pisky was attacked three times with automatic grenade launchers and at noon from 120-mm mortar. About 5 p.m. the enemy used an infantry fighting vehicle and tank to attack Avdiivka.

"Shyrokyne remains the epicenter of the conflict at the Mariupol direction. The enemy used small arms and anti-tank weapons against the village six times. Also, the ATO positions were twice fired upon from a 120-mm mortar from 2 to 2:30 p.m.

"At the Luhansk direction, a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the enemy crossed the demarcation line and unsuccessfully attempted to gain a foothold near our positions.

"As of 7 p.m. there were no cases of cease-fire violation recorded at the Artemivsk direction," the statement concludes.
