 Rada allows foreign troops to participate in military exercises in the territory of Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine gave consent to the admission of units of the armed forces of other states to the territory of Ukraine in 2015 to participate in the multinational exercises.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing Liga.

The law was passed by 305 lawmakers.

The planned exercises for 2015 include: joint U.S.-Ukrainian exercises Fearless Guardian - 2015; the purpose of the exercise - to raise the level of combat training of the armed forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine to NATO standards, the exchange of experience and practical tasks of planning, security and special operations. The total number of participants is up to 2,200 military personnel: up to 200 armed forces troops, up to 1,000 National Guard soldiers, and 1,000 troops of the armed forces of the United States.
