Terrorist leader Zakharchenko calls on militants to capture all cities where "DPR independence referendum" was held

Leader of the "Donetsk People's Republic" terrorists Alexander Zakharchenko says there is a need to establish militant control over the populated areas where "referendum on the DPR independence" was held last year.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax.

"We must take all our cities where a referendum took place, and after that politically cooperate (with Ukraine - ed.) as equal partners," Zakharchenko told reporters in Debaltseve.

At the same time, he noted that he was displeased with the bill on the special status of the Donbas. "The bill on the special status is of zero sense. All that was discussed in Minsk has not been done," he said.

It was previously reported that the deputies supported the presidential bill #2378 "On Amendments to Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine" On special order of the local government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions."

Representative of the president in the parliament, Poroshenko Bloc MP Stepan Kubiv stated that the adoption of the law is due to the need for democratic and free elections, and subsequent establishment of order in the uncontrolled territories of the Donbas.

The Verkhovna Rada also adopted a resolution on the recognition of individual areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as occupied territories.
