 Rada adopts resolution recognizing individual areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions ‘occupied territories’

Today, the Verkhovna Rada by 280 votes adopted a resolution on the recognition of individual territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as occupied.

It is reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine.

Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman noted that this resolution recognizes separate areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions temporarily occupied, which, in accordance with the law on the special order of the local government in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, introduces a special order of local government until the removal of all illegal armed formations and their military equipment, militants and mercenaries, and Ukraine's regaining full control of its state border.
