 Two Russian weapon caches found in Donetsk region - SBU

SBU eliminated two Russian weapons caches near Volnovakha and Rybinske of the Donetsk region.

This was announced at a briefing of adviser to the Head of the SBU Markiian Lubkivskyi, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

"A considerable arsenal of weapons was found near Volknovakha, the Donetsk region. What is interesting in that the cache held weapons produced in Russia and used by the Russian armed forces - the infamous Shmel portable rocket launcher. Six anti-tank grenade launchers, eight grenades of various modifications, and chevrons of Russian military intelligence were also discovered," Lubkivskyi said.

According to him, another cache, which the militants set up in 100 meters from the railways was discovered by the SBU in Rybinsk, the Donetsk region. "Another small rocket launcher and three RGD-4 grenades were found," the adviser stated.

He noted that the SBU registers a tendency of militants accumulating weapons in the ATO area. "It is not every day that the SBU finds and confiscates large weapons arsenals in various caches," Lubkivskyi said.
