Heroes of Debaltseve Lomako and Brekharia, called instigators by the General Staff, were decorated with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the 3rd degree

орден order

Vladyslav Lomako was among those officers of the Armed Forces, who signed the letter to the Commander-in-Chief, demanding the resignation of the General Staff command for the defeat in Debaltseve.

Censor.NET Chief Editor Yurii Butusov wrote on Facebook.

"Good news! Debaltseve Heroes, who were called 'FSB spies', were awarded with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the third degree! Senior Lieutenant Vladyslav Lomako and Senior Lieutenant Yurii Brekharia, who both were commanders of the 40th mechanized infantry battalion strongholds near Debaltseve, were decorated with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the third degree! Congratulations!

Vladyslav Lomako was among those officers of the Armed Forces, who signed the letter to the Supreme Commander, demanding the resignation of the General Staff command through the defeat in Debaltseve. The General Staff officers called the letter "a provocation aimed at destabilizing the situation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

The Security Service of Ukraine claimed the officers' letter was 'FSB instigation'.

Senior Lieutenant Yurii Brekharia stood up for his comrades after the General Staff launched campaign in order to discredit the officers who signed the letter, and journalists who were spreading this information (it is still unknown where the funds for it came from), instead of giving a substantive answer to the letter.

Vladyslav Lomako learned of presidential decree on his decoration from me - I called him to congratulate and ask where he was then:

"I'm at the site today. We are training the soldiers. After the 40th Battalion got out from Ilovaisk and Debaltseve, our servicemen were joking that the General Staff considers us the entrapment experts, and we will be sent to some other encirclement next time we will be at the front, so we need to increase our expertise. That's why we keep training."

UPDATE: Senior Lieutenant Lomako also said: "We have not refused from our demands, set forth in our letter." The lieutenant hasn't betrayed his principles in exchange for the order unlike some others...

UPDATE 2: The country and the Army are marvelous indeed assuming that the alleged 'FSB agent', bedamned by his own General Staff, has the full support of fellow-soldiers, prepares to counter the Russian aggression, and receives the award for successful combat operations. Yes, this is Ukraine...
