 43,000 people are fighting on Russian side in Donbas war. VIDEO

The ATO headquarters informed about the number of Russian fighters in the Donbas and their military equipment.

On March 14, Deputy Chief of Staff of the ATO in the C sector Valentyn Fedichev has made a video statement, speaking about the number of soldiers of the regular Russian army and local residents who oppose the Ukrainian Army in the Donbas, Censor.NET informs citing the Donbas Public TV.

The total number of members of illegal armed groups in the Donbas is about 43 thousand people. According to Fedichev, around 8,600 militants fighting on the side of 'DPR' and 'LPR' are Russians. Fedichev also spoke about the number of terrorists' heavy weapons. They have 980 tanks, 1,030 combat armored vehicles, around 500 artillery systems, more than 420 multiple launch rocket systems, seven TOS-1 Buratino MRLSs, and almost 130 air defense systems.
