This was announced by Colonel Valentyn Fedychev, deputy head of the ATO headquarters, at a briefing for foreign journalists on situation in the Donbas, as reported by Central TV of Defense Ministry, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrinform.
"Officers of the Russian army are involved directly in creation of corps. Main staff and command positions are filled with Russian officers," Fedychev said.
Colonel also informed about number and composition of Russian military forces near Ukrainian borders and within Ukraine.
He also said that the militants do not wish to abide by the Minsk agreements. Between Feb. 15 and March 10, Russia-controlled illegal armed groups shelled Ukrainian positions for 831 times, attempted offensives for 20 times, and conducted 17 clashes.
