NSDC determined areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions that will have special order of local government

The National Security and Defense Council determined borders of the areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions with a special order of local government according to the Minsk agreements signed September 19, 2014.

First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Myklailo Koval said after the NSDC meeting, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"The National Security and Defense Council endorsed the decision of determining the boundaries of certain areas, where the special order of local government will be introduced according to the Law of Ukraine "on special order of the local government on certain territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions," according to the demarcation line determined by Minsk agreements reached September 19, 2014," he said.

The relevant resolution should be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, and amendments to the Law "On special order of the local government on certain territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions" should be made to implement this decision.

"The special order of the local government will not be introduced on the territories that were captured by the militants after the signing of the Minsk agreements on September 19, 2014, as well as in all cities and villages along the demarcation line which are controlled by the Ukrainian government," Koval said.

He noted that Ukraine strictly adheres to the Minsk agreements and requires evidence that the militants observe them as well.
