"Over the past day the enemy conducted eight shooting attacks against the ATO forces. One in Talakivka (using small arms), and the rest in Shyrokyne (with the use of 120 mm mortars, small arms, and sniper fire). According to sector M, one soldier was killed. Between 10:30 a.m. and 7:35 p.m. the soldiers of the Azov regiment engaged into fire-fights with the terrorists four times. Two flights of the enemy's UAVs were recorded," the statement reads.
"At the moment, residents of the eastern outskirts and Illichivsk district of Mariupol hear the shelling at Shyrokyne," the HQ reports, noting that there is no danger to Mariupol since the battle is of local nature. It also states that residents of Zhovtnevyi and Primorskyi districts can hear explosions due to exercises taking part in the West part of the city and asks residents to remain calm.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that the situation in the ATO area remains tense - the terrorists opened fire at the positions of the Ukrainian army 49 times.
