Poroshenko and Biden discussed situation in Donbas and provision of assistance to Ukraine

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed the situation in the Donbas, the provision of U.S. assistance to Ukraine, as well as new sanctions against pro-Russian terrorists and those who support them.

This is stated by the press service of the White House, Censor.NET reports.

The U.S. vice president noted his concern regarding the continuing violations of the cease-fire by the Russian-backed separatists in the Donetsk and Mariupol area and their refusal to allow OSCE observers unimpeded access to the occupied territory.

Earlier, the U.S. Treasury announced new sanctions against individuals and organizations involved in separatist activities in Ukraine.
