High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine removed judges of Pechersk district court of Kyiv Serhii Vovk, Oksana Tsarevych and Viktor Kitsiuk from the office for two months.

This decision was made today at the meeting of the Commission in connection with criminal cases initiated against the judges, Censor.NET reports citing TSN.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine authorized the arrest of Vovk, Tsarevych, and Kitsiuk last week. An arrest warrant was issued at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, which is carrying out criminal investigations against these judges. Their actions are qualified under Part 2 of the Article 375 (perversion of justice) of the Criminal Code. President of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Yaroslav Romaniuk gave consent to their arrest on March 2.
