"The equipment was accompanied by a group of OSCE observers who reported on the withdrawal to a distance of over 35 kilometers from the line of contact between the parties in accordance with the commitments undertaken by Ukraine," the statement reads.
The unit's chief of staff call sign Derkach confirmed that today in the morning after the receipt of the order, the artillery accompanied by the OSCE observers began to move the equipment to a certain area.
"One battery left first. Then other units," Derkach said. "The main thing is that the withdrawal of heavy equipment from the collision line is properly fulfilled not only by us, but also by the other side. If we withdraw the weapons, and they do not, we are ready to advance to our previous positions at any moment."
