This was stated by Head of the Polish National Security Bureau (BBN) Stanisław Koziej after talks with Head of Ukraine's National Security Council Oleksandr Turchynov today in Warsaw, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
"The stronger the Ukrainian army is, the more chances there are to end the conflict, to prevent its escalation. Therefore, it is in the interests of Poland and Europe to provide additional armament to the Ukrainian army," he said.
The head of the BBN noted that it is best not to talk about such things as the supply of weapons publicly.
In turn, Turchynov noted that Russian aggression against Ukraine should not be viewed as a threat only for Ukrainians, but also as a threat for European security.
"Certainly, Ukraine is opposed with a very strong aggressor and enemy. Therefore, the support of Poland, the EU and the United States is very important to us," he said, expressing belief that Ukrainians will liberate the currently occupied Ukrainian territory.
