Putin’s press secretary on U.S. sanctions: They will not affect the foreign policy of the Russian Federation

Extended U.S. sanctions will not affect the implementation of Moscow’s policy.

This opinion was expressed to journalists by presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the U.S. administration's decision to extend sanctions against Russia, Censor.NET reports citing TASS.

"No sanctions will ever lead to Russia making any changes to its consistent policy in international affairs," Peskov said. "Sanctions are a double-edged sword, and certainly, it causes discomfort to the Russian Federation, but it also harms businesses and the economy of the countries that play these sanction games," Putin's press secretary said.
