 Yatseniuk orders suspension of heads of State Financial Inspection and Southwestern Railways and conducting official investigations

Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk decided to suspend from duty head of the State Financial Inspection Mykola Hordienko.

An investigation will be conducted in regard to the official. This was stated by Yatseniuk at the opening of a government meeting, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

"The second decision concerning the State Financial Inspection is to conduct an official investigation into the management of the Inspection. The head of the inspection is to be suspended for the time of the investigation," he said.

Yatseniuk explained the decision by the agency's biased inspection of the Antonov state enterprise and lack of effective control over public funds and property.

The prime minister has given two weeks to conduct the investigation with personnel decisions to be made after.

In addition, the Cabinet also decided to suspend Head of the Southwestern Railways Oleksii Kryvopyshyn.

"Promptly suspend the head of Southwestern Railways from duty. Start an urgent official investigation and, together with law enforcement authorities, put an end to the abuse of the official," he said.

The prime minister said that yesterday the media reported that Kryvopyshyn built a sports and entertainment complex Olympic Village using state funds.
