"Search groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are conducting "Evacuation-200" and "Transfer-200" operations aimed at discovery, exhumation, and transfer of bodies of the Ukrainian servicemen killed in the ATO area. The objective of "Evacuation-200" mission is to take dead bodies away from the territories which are temporarily uncontrolled by the government of Ukraine. "Transfer-200" operation objective is delivery of the bodies of servicemen to the forensic-medical laboratories in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia. The Armed Forces of Ukraine involved a number of civilian experts from the National Museum of Military History of Ukraine, Union People's Memory NGO, Poisk-Dnepr, and Ukrainian Union of Afghan Veterans to assist in these operations.
"The bodies have been evacuated from the Debaltseve bridgehead, including the villages of Chornukhyne, Ridkodub, Sanzharivka, Vuhlehirsk, and the town of Debaltseve in 2015. The Ukrainian servicemen bodies were also brought from the villages of Pisky, Avdiivka, and the Donetsk airport.
"According to Censor.NET, the search teams delivered a total of 195 soldiers' bodies to the morgues in 2015, which were recovered mostly from the enemy-occupied territory near Debaltseve.
"Unfortunately, about 60 bodies of the Ukrainian soldiers were left on the enemy-occupied territory during the "ordered withdrawal of troops" from Debaltseve. At least 30 bodies of the Ukrainian military were left in Chornukhyne village.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine search groups together with volunteers continue selfless work in hard conditions to find every killed soldier, not to leave anyone unfound and unburied. They scrutinize the video available on the Internet and the information acquired from various detachments. The Armed Forces of Ukraine search groups are simultaneously carrying out negotiations on the exchange of wounded soldiers who were captured. Search operations near Debaltseve are underway.
"Unfortunately, according to the unofficial summary data of Censor.NET (General Staff traditionally keeps the truth about casualties away from people), at least 300 Ukrainian soldiers were killed during hostilities near Mariupol, Donetsk airport, and Debaltseve in 2015.
"The General Staff has still not published comprehensive list of dead servicemen and has not updated the name list of the killed on the official website of the Ministry of Defense.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces command considers it possible to keep precise information away from the public. Such actions undermine the trust to official information.
"Anyway, the groups of patriots, servicemen, and volunteers continue everyday hard work to find the bodies of the Ukrainian heroes. That means it will be possible to establish the truth sooner or later, and we will be able to make the name list not forget someone..." Butusov wrote.
