Militants concentrate activity at the Donetsk direction – ATO press center

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation area has not changed significantly and remains ‘steadily heavy.’

This is stated by the ATO press center, Censor.NET reports.

The summary reads: "For several consecutive days the illegal armed groups have been focusing their activity at the Donetsk direction.

"Starting from 10 a.m. Tuesday, the enemy used mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and small arms to fire at the positions of the ATO forces near Pisky, Opytne, and Avdiivka. The latter two were twice shelled by ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns.

"At the Artemivsk direction near the village of Leninske the Ukrainian soldiers were fired at by a sniper. Our positions were also fired at from an anti-tank RPG.

"At the Luhansk and Mariupol directions there have been no attacks recorded since 5 a.m. until now. In total, the enemy violated the cease-fire over 20 times on March 3.

"It is important to note that these attacks are a deliberate attempt of the militants to provoke the ATO forces and accuse them of disrupting the peace agreements," the statement reads.
