The 15-year-old boy injured in yesterday's explosion near Palats Sportu (Palace of Sports) in Kharkiv died in a hospital today. This was reported by Deputy Mayor for Health and Social Welfare Svitlana Horbunova-Ruban.
The teenager went into a coma on Monday. He had an open craniocerebral trauma.
As reported earlier, the terrorist attack against a peaceful rally in Kharkiv was committed on Sunday, Feb. 22. The explosion killed two people on the spot, and injured 11. According to preliminary data, it was caused by an improvised explosive device stuffed with steel scraps. The device was placed in a plastic bag and covered with snow.
Earlier, the OSCE stated that the explosive in Kharkiv was detonated remotely.
