Petrenko reminded that the relevant law on sanctions was adopted last autumn. The government appealed to the NSDC with its own proposal on sanctions against more than one hundred companies and more than a thousand people involved in the aggression on the first day of entry into force of this law.

He added that part of the sanctions concerns economic restrictions.

According to him, this legislation is processed at the moment and its part, which will be unclassified by the National Security and Defense Council will be published in the near future.

Petrenko reminded that the National Security and Defense Council is the only body which can impose sanctions according to the law, but the sanctions itself may be suggested by the parliament, the president, the National Bank, the Security Service, and the Cabinet. He urged the deputies to make suggestions in this regard.
