The number of Mariupol shelling victims reached 30.

Censor.NET reports citing the head of the Donetsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Viacheslav Abroskin 's report at a meeting of the operational headquarters.

According to him, the police completely blocked Skhidnyi district, which was shelled by the militants. At the momet law enforcement, military and employees of Azov Battalion conduct search operations there. "After repeated shelling crime scene examination was suspended. At the moment morgues have received 20 dead bodies, and the number is growing," he said.

Seven more citizens have died in the hospitals.

Mariupol city mayor Yurii Hotubei noted that at least one child was killed. There are five children among the wounded. According to him, the victims were brought to №1, 4 and 15 hospitals. "There is no panic, but the people are shocked by the morning terrorist attack. Some people are staying on the streets with their children and things. We provide buses for those who want to go and transfer them to the western part of the city. They will be situated in Zhovtnevyi and Prymorskyi districts," the mayor stated.

Earlier Censor.NET informed that prime-minister Arsenii Yatseniuk called for the UN Security Council to convene an urgent meeting considering Mariupol shelling.
