Commander of U.S. Army in Europe: No doubt that Russia is arming militants

Commander of the U.S. Army Europe, Lt. Gen Frederick Ben Hodges disclaims any doubt that Russia is supplying weapons to the militants in eastern Ukraine.

He stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

The General believes it is absolutely clear that the weapons used against the Ukrainian army, including artillery systems and advanced equipment, mean that the terrorists receive direct support from Russia. Various high-precision systems are coming in, and we understand that they are from Russia, Hodges said.

The general noted that if one does not believe that Russia provides assistance to the militants, it means one just doesn't want to believe it.

Hodges expressed confidence that Ukraine will come out victorious from this conflict, including in political terms, but it will also require diplomatic efforts.
