This was announced by Poroshenko Bloc MP Mustafa Naiiem on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.
"Looks like those willing to serve in the National police will be selected on a competitive basis. In the first day, almost 4,000 applications were filed with the contest committee. For your understanding, only 3,000 were initially intended to be accepted, with just 2,000 applicants staying after testing. The enlistment will last for another 16 days, until Feb. 6, 2015," Naiiem wrote.
As reported earlier, the Interior Ministry announced in December that the National police of Ukraine would be formed from those volunteering to serve in it. The applicants will be selected from many others and then trained to serve as police officers.
