"30 minutes ago the militants conducted an artillery from Dokuchaivsk direction on a checkpoint of the Ukrainian law enforcement officers near Volnovakha. It resulted in a direct hit of a passenger bus. As of now 10 people are dead and 13 wounded. The information is being specified. An investigating task force of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Donetsk region is working at the scene," he said.
Later the ATO press center named a smaller number of casualties among civilians: "The terrorists continue killing civilians. Today, around 2:30 p.m., the checkpoint in the village of Buhas (near Volnovakha) was cynically shelled by the militants from Grad multiple launch rocket systems. The fire was carried out in the direction of Starobeshevo-Stila. The shelling caused casualties among civilians who were at the checkpoint. Six people died (the data is being specified) and about 20 were injured. There are no Ukrainian military positions near the checkpoint, so this event clearly shows that that terrorists deliberately opened fire on civilians," the ATO statement reads.
