The shooting took place Friday morning between the French police officers and the persons, suspected of committing a terrorist attack in Paris. The terrorists have taken hostages. French General Prosecutor's Office did not confirm the death of people during a huge manhunt for two brothers suspected of killing 12 people at a satirical weekly.

Censor.NET reports citing Le Parisien.

According to the newspaper, the two brothers suspected of committing a terrorist act are located in the city of Damarten en Goel, in Seine-et-Marne. It is reported that they are holding several hostages.

In particular, Le Figaro reports about one hostage at least.

It was reported earlier that the shooting between the police officers and the suspects took place at about 9.00 a.m. local time as a result of which two people died and 20 were injured. It is reported that the two wounded were already taken to the hospital in Moe.

The representatives of the GIGN detachment have reportedly begun negotiations with the kidnappers.

Reuters reports that at least one hostage was seized in a town northeast of Paris on Friday during a huge manhunt for two brothers suspected of killing 12 people at a satirical weekly, according to a police source.

Five helicopters were seen flying over an industrial zone outside the town of Dammartin-en-Goele and the French Interior Minister confirmed an operation was taking place there. A police source said the two suspects had been sighted in the town, where at least one person was taken hostage.

Before night fell on Thursday, officers had been focusing on their search some 40 km (25 miles) away on the woodland village of Corcy, not far from a service station where police sources said the brothers had been sighted in ski masks a day after the shootings at the newspaper.
