Meeting of foreign ministers in Normandy Four format will be held on Jan. 9


The meeting of the ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia will be held on Jan. 9.

This was stated by Political Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleksii Makeiev representing Ukraine at the preparatory meeting in Berlin on his Twitter page, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, on Jan. 9 four ministers will gather together. In addition, as noted by Makeiev, there is a basis for signing a common document at a meeting of the Normandy Four leaders in Astana.

Earlier, France and Germany have questioned the relevance of holding a meeting on the situation in Ukraine in "Normandy format" on Jan. 15 in Astana. In particular, representative of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Steffen Seibert said that the meeting makes sense only if it means progress.
