President Petro Poroshenko has held a working meeting with security officials and the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchinov

Censor.NET reports citing the President's press-service.

According to the report, the parties have analyzed the situation in the ATO area and the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.

"They have also discussed the issues of compliance with the ceasefire regime, the level of material-technical maintenance of troops and the fulfillment of the NSDC decisions regarding the pass control at the delimitation line and the measures to counter the funding of terrorism," the press-service states.

The Head of State has emphasized the necessity of increasing measures to counter terrorist threats. "Terrorists' attempts to provoke the Armed Forces of Ukraine require our decisive actions," he said.

The President has instructed to intensify efforts aimed at the liberation of the Ukrainian servicemen captured by terrorists. "Due to our intelligence and Security Service, we know the location and quantity of our servicemen who are now hostages of illegal armed groups. We must do everything to liberate them promptly," the President said.

In the course of the meeting, the Defense Minister has reported to the President on the reformation of the ministry and the first results of common work with volunteers regarding material-technical maintenance of troops.

The President has instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to enhance control over the checkpoints in order to prevent smuggling. Also, the President has instructed the Anti-Terrorist Center to allow passing through the checkpoints only for the registered cargo of the registered companies.

The NSDC Secretary has reported to the President on the situation in the east of Ukraine and informed that "in order to carry out complex anti-terrorist measures, passing through the delimitation line will be reduced up to seven transport corridors, while all other paths will be closed".

The meeting was attended by Defense Minister of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko, Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko, Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yrii Stets, Advisor to the President, representative of volunteer organizations Yurii Biriukov and Head of the Anti-Terrorist Center Vasyl Hrytsak.
