Censor.NET reports citing results of the sociological research carried out by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) at the request of ZN.UA.
If we add 27.1% of those who partially do not agree to abandon the Donbas, it turns out that the vast majority of Ukrainians identify the region as a part of Ukraine. This idea is mainly supported by the Donetsk (72.6%), Luhansk (84.9%), Kherson ( 93%), Odesa (88.4%) and Dnipropetrovsk (82.5%) regions.
7.3 % of Ukrainians have partially agreed to leave the Donbas alone (Transcarpathian Ukraine (16.5%), Chernivtsi region (13.5%), Mykolaiv region (13.1%), Zaporizhia region (8.4%)), while 16% of the Donbas residents want to be separated from Ukraine.
However, only 1.8% of Ukrainians are ready to completely abandon the Donbas.
3035 adult residents of Ukraine were interviewed in 179 villages and towns, controlled by Ukrainian government, during the KIIS research (Dec.4-19, 2014).
