 Coal supply to Ukraine unblocked - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Poroshenko said that the first trains have already been sent to ensure stable work of power stations.

The Head of State said at the meeting with the newly appointed governors: "Our direct task is to do everything possible to protect people on the eve of the New Year holidays," Censor.NET reports citing the Presidential administration press service.

The Head of State has informed that a very important result on unblocking the coal supply to Ukraine had been achieved already. "The first trains have already been sent to ensure stable work of power stations. It is the first step that will allow increasing the quality of the energy system's operation."

The President also said, today should be provided with electricity flows in Ukraine, which will significantly reduce the risk of rolling blackouts during peak loads. "

According to the Head of State, electricity overflow to Ukraine must be ensured today in order to significantly reduce the risk of rolling blackouts during peak ratings.
