After arriving at the scene, the police recorded the statement of the dormitory's security guard, who explained that he heard an explosion at 4:33 a.m. He immediately rushed to the upper floors. On the way up he met the hostel tender, who said that there was an emergency situation and they needed to call an ambulance and the police.
"The blast killed a 25-year-old local resident, and two other locals (45 and 29 years of age) in grave condition were taken away by an ambulance to the intensive care unit. The investigation group examined the crime scene and interviewed residents and hostel staff. The evidence was taken away for forensic examination," the statement reads.
The incident was included in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations with the legal qualification of a criminal offense under p. 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code "Murder committed by negligence."
