"In recent days there were scheduled restrictions in the territory of Ukraine, on the Crimean peninsula, as well as in the anti-terrorist operation area, but effective today, we posed the question radically, so that any previously adjusted limits to all subjects will be strictly monitored," he said.
The minister informed that on the morning of Dec. 24 the Crimean peninsula's power was cut off, but currently the power supply has been resumed.
Demchyshyn expressed hope that Crimean consumers will stick to the limits that were agreed by "Ukrinterenerho" and "Krymenerho."
"The agreement contains clear requirements in terms of electricity consumption and power, and any excess will be limited," Demchyshyn added.
According to him, a plan of emergency power cuts has been developed for the ATO area and Crimea.
