"The militants blew up the railway bridge over the Kalchyk river near Sartana railway station today at 1:40 a.m. The latest information reports that the terrorists tried to blow up two more railway bridges. Two Azovstal plant guards prevented the attempt. The militants opened fire at them. One guard was killed and the other was wounded as a result of the clash. More than 80 kilograms of TNT were found during examination of the site of the planned terrorist attack. The militants' attack was obviously aimed at cutting off the procurement of the city and the plants to destabilize the situation and demoralize civil population," the statement reads.
It is also noted that the Azov regiment takes main infrastructure facilities of the city under full control in connection with the rapidly deteriorating situation in the south, the intensification of hostilities and the beginning of terrorists' subversive activities, aimed against procurement of Mariupol.
"The regiment takes responsibility for the implementation of the set of measures to prevent acts of terrorism and sabotage," the report reads.
