 Oshchadbank evacuated from Donetsk, leaving huge amount of money, vehicles, and weapons to terrorists

The branch of State Savings Bank of Ukraine (Oshchadbank), which moved from Donetsk to Kramatorsk, left millions of hryvnia and dollars, vehicles, and weapons in the terrorist-controlled city.

Serhii Harmash, Ostrov online newspaper journalist, writes it on Twitter, Censor.NET informs.

The Oshchadbank branch which moved to Kramatorsk, has left 28,716,748 UAH, $1,226,813, 99,720 Euro, 98 vehicles, and 252 units of weapons (guns and machine guns)," he said. According to Ostrov, which cites a source in the Interior Ministry, DPR militants seized the bank's vault in Donetsk in response to the decision to move the regional branch of the Savings Bank to Kramatorsk.

The bank's management has officially reported to the police that there are funds left in the premises of the bank controlled by Donetsk militants. "The terrorists have announced to the bank's management that from now on they will decide on how to use the bank's funds, assets, and weapons," the newspaper notes.

The State Savings Bank of Ukraine announced that it was to transfer its branches from Donetsk and Luhansk to Kramatorsk and Sievierodonetsk in late November. Earlier President Poroshenko signed a decree which puts into force the NSDC's decision of Nov. 4 "On urgent measures to stabilize the socio-economic situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions."
