 Russian occupants restored military base in Crimea

A Crimean naval base, which was part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet until 1996, was restored and came into operation.

Representative of the Black Sea Fleet headquarters reports, Censor.NET informs citing С-inform.info

"The headquarters of the base is located in Sevastopol, in the place where the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy was based until March 19. It is headed by Captain Yuri Zemsky, ex-commander of the naval task force in the Mediterranean Sea," he said.

According to the chief of staff of the Crimean naval base captain Alexei Komarov, 126th separate brigade of coastal defense in Perevalne and a separate coastal missile brigade in Sevastopol were formed on Dec. 1.

Earlier Censor.NET reported that NATO is to open new bases in Eastern Europe.
