Petro Poroshenko has emphasized that the ceasefire regime should be strictly observed by all the parties. Also, the Head of State hopes that the Trilateral Contact Group would be able to hold its meeting on Sunday, December 21, in Minsk, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the head of state.
The President hopes for the real progress in the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas under the clear agreements on the pullback to the delimitation line, exchange of hostages and delivery of humanitarian cargoes to the occupied territories.
The Foreign Minister of Germany has noted: "It is important for all the parties to the Minsk agreements to fulfill their commitments". He has also expressed hope that the Trilateral Contact Group would hold its meeting in Minsk this week. "It will be a symbol of hope for the best in 2015 for all Ukrainians. There are all grounds for it," he said.
The parties have discussed current situation in the occupied territories of the Donbas and expressed common position on the necessity to deliver humanitarian aid to these regions. The President has informed on the preparation of another humanitarian cargo for the Donbas people.
The Head of State has also informed that the Government had started working over the elaboration of the necessary documents to receive EUR 500 million in credit guarantees from the German Government as it had been agreed in the course of the visit of Angela Merkel to Ukraine in August.
Petro Poroshenko has drawn the attention of his interlocutor to the necessity of joint efforts of Ukraine's partners and international financial organizations aimed at reconsideration and increase of the volume of the international economic assistance for Ukraine.
