The Security Service of Ukraine Chief Investigative Directorate head Vasyl Vovk stated on air of one of the Ukrainian TV channels, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny. According to him, the list of 684 persons being held prisoners in the territory controlled by the LPR and DPR terrorists was submitted Dec. 7. The list of 1,667 persons who are still considered missing in action was provided as well.
"I appealed to the 'LPR' and 'DPR' (Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics - Ed.) leadership with the request to provide the lists of people whom they keep prisoners. They submitted a list of 152 persons they have in custody and they are ready to hand these people over to us," Vovk said. He added that the LPR and DPR have submitted the list of 223 persons being imprisoned or grounded by the SBU.
"We are ready to hand these people over to them. I hope that there are less than 684 people there, I hope that some of them have returned, some of them have not reported on one's return," Vovk noted. He also announced that the 'LPR' and 'DPR' have provided the list of 584 people who they believe are kept prisoners by the Ukrainian authorities. Vovk considers the lists of 684 and 584 imprisoned citizens fictional.
