"The military battery unit is equipped with four to six self-propelled guns (SAU) with insignia and registration numbers removed. Other reserve units of this military brigade, equipped with artillery guns as well as multiple launch rocket systems (MLRSs,) are presumably deployed near the Millerovo military airfield," the blogger announced.
"In this connection, a recent statement by the Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) comes to mind, which reports about shelling of the Ukrainian territory. The statement reads that cross-border shells were fired from Manotsky, a village in Russia's Rostov region, against Komyshne, a village in Ukraine's Luhansk region, which is located near a crossing checkpoint on the joint frontier between the two neighboring countries. Moreover, shelling of the ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) forces and the residential areas continued," the blogger reminded.
"Back in September this year, we recorded a military convoy consisting of several Uragan (a multiple rocket launch system (MLRS)) units, which were identified as a part of that same 288th Artillery Brigade, moving in the Taganrog-Mariupol direction," Komakhidze recalled.
For your reference: the 288th Artillery Brigade, Western Military District, home base #30683 is located in Mulino, the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Military equipment: MLRS "Uragan" (8 units), self-propelled howitzers "MSTA-S" (18 units), anti-tank artillery "MT-12" (6 units) and anti-tank missile systems "Shturm-S" (18 units).
