Introducing the program of the government the Verkhovna Rada, the prime minister said that Ukraine has filed two lawsuits against Russia in the European Court of Human Rights. "Russia as an aggressor state is obliged to compensate Ukraine the damages caused by the illegal annexation of Crimea and the Russian military aggression," he said.
According to Yatseniuk, the total amount of the lawsuit today constitutes more than $1 trillion.
In addition, Ukraine has commenced the process of filing a suit against Russia in the International Court of Justice concerning Russia's violations of the Convention on International Terrorism. "Russian finances terrorism and it shall answer for it. And it will answer for it in the International Court of Justice," the prime minister said.
