 United States to Allocate $112 Million of Military and $140 Million of Economic Aid to Ukraine in 2015 - Media

The U.S. next year budget provides $112 million for reforms in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Voice of America sources, the US will allocate $47 million to help Ukraine to reform the Armed Forces, another $75 million will be provided to the Ukrainian Armed Forces through the European Initiative program, which finances the strengthening of Georgia and Moldova defense as well, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

At the same time the U.S. budget provides $139.238 million of economic assistance for Ukraine within the framework of bilateral assistance and loan guarantees.

$502 million were also included in the budget to counter Russian aggression in Eurasia. A part of these funds may be used for assistance to Ukraine.

At the same time, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives Marcy Kaptur said that according to the budget amendments Ukraine will receive $502 million totally, including loan guarantees (about $100 million).
