State Border Guard Service spokesman Oleh Slobodian stated Wednesday, Dec. 10, Censor.NET reports.
"A part of the Russian troops was withdrawn - hardware mainly. Steps are being taken to encourage the Russian party to the complete withdrawal of troops according to the agreements. They haven't left yesterday. There are Russian soldiers at the checkpoint in the village of Strilkove," BBC Ukraine reports citing Slobodian.
In addition, he said that according to the agreements, the Russian troops were to leave the Kherson region until 06:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9. "The Russian party guaranteed to withdraw its troops until 06.00 p.m. Dec. 9. We expect the agreements to be fulfilled today," he said.
Slobodian also stressed that the Ukrainian gas distribution station and oil rigs near Strilkove village are still under the control of the Russian troops.
Earlier, the Russian troops began withdrawing beyond the Kherson region Dec. 9, leaving Arabat spit as well as Chonhar and Ad peninsulas.
